Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 28 May 1987. Johnson talks about his early life in Waco, Texas and of his courtship and marriage. He discusses his religious experiences, his conversion to the Mormon Church, and its influence on his present life. He comments on the experiences of other black Mormons.
